Twenty years later, he learns Nina's fiancé Ryan views their marriage as a cruel wager and is using her as a bargaining chip. At their engagement banquet, Ryan humiliates Nina, destroys her late mother's final keepsake, and orders his guards to disgrace her. Nina falls down the stairs bleeding—just as Vincent enters, ready to unleash the underworld's wrath.
