Pretend You Don't Want Me
Dr. Elise Marlowe is fighting to save her neurological assessment research after her ex steals the credit—and her funding starts to disappear. Then Misha Volkov, a star hockey goalie with a trembling hand, walks into her clinic. His team wants him back on the ice. Elise refuses to sign off on a recovery she can't prove, even for a man who knows exactly how to flirt. When her ex tips off the paparazzi, one midnight photo turns a medical appointment into a scandal. Elise and Misha agree to fake a romance in public. He pursues her; she plays it cool. But away from the cameras, their chemistry becomes the one thing neither can control. As Elise's painful past hits the headlines and her research comes under attack, Misha is pressured to discredit her on live television—or lose his place on the team. When pretending is no longer enough, what is he willing to risk for her?
