She offers to take Madison’s place in a marriage to the comatose heir of the Archibald family, Liam, and cuts off all ties with Ryan. Liam later awakens, and Iris is surprised to find that what begins as obligation gradually turns into true love between them—revealing a long-standing bond that had always tied their families together. Meanwhile, Ryan realizes too late that Iris was the one he truly loved—and that he had lost her for good.
